ABOUT US
Mission II Haiti was founded in June of 2011. We are a tax exempt 501 (C) 3 corporation. We are a non-profit, non-denominational organization based in Kearney, Nebraska. We have a full time presence in Haiti, and groups travel to Cap Haitien, Haiti several times a year to repair water wells.
What we do
In 2011 the Mission II Haiti founders learned from UN representatives that there were approximately 1500 non-functioning wells in Northern Haiti. These wells were either put in by the French regime 100+ years ago, holes dug by hand and utilizing just buckets on a rope, or put in by other organizations and in disrepair.
MIIH Board members decided it would be our goal to find as many of those wells as possible, and make them operational again. Some days the task at a well is so difficult we can repair only one well and other days it is possible for us to replace and repair 3 wells, especially if the villages are in close proximity. To date we have repaired/ replaced hundreds of wells for the people of Haiti.

MIIH Headquarters
On the outskirt of Cap Haitian, Mission II Haiti owns property where we accommodate volunteers during their mission visit. MIIH headquarters has a bunk house where we provide sleeping arrangements for volunteers at a time, 2 bathrooms with showers and an outdoor dining area with kitchen. It is a peaceful location where you can relax after a day of providing resources for the kindhearted citizens of Haiti.
